Hiarcut!

It barley even counts as a picture, but only because my parents have fallen asleep so I don't have access to my father's DSL. The company of my phone had to do and the lighting is very poor. But yes, I got my haircut today. Wasn't happy overall with my experience at the place. If I was ever going to get my hair cut for that much money, I'm imagining it to be incredible with a male hairdresser who is either gay or very metrosexual. Sorry for the sterotype or sexism, but I've always thought that it was true. That male hairdressers were better because they are so metro that they probably know what looks good/better on a girl than the girl thinks on herself.

I did have a man do my hair, but he barley spoke to me, gave any expression or advice. No products were used in my hair, there wasn't any effort and I spent so much! I know I wasn't expecting such a dramatic change because for once, that's not what I had wanted. But I was expecting more than I had got today. I didn't end up having any time to film it either but tomorrow, I'm sure there will be a video up.

If you can't actually see, my hair is an inch shorter and my dead ends are gone. My hair is now soft and it'll start growing healthier again and I'm sure heaps fast as it always used to.

Yesterdays Are Always Better

During this time I have been given to clean, I thought that I could sneak in some time to blog and edit some things before I resume back to my unwanted chores. Hadn't I promised that I would post something yesterday? Yes, well I kinda broke that promise haven't I? I'm not such a reliable person, I fail to accomplish goals that I set for myself and end up finishing them ages later. But yesterday, I can honestly say that I had been away the whole day since the morning with Ink to go straight to the beach. We did meet up with a couple of friends which was nice company but they appeared to have arrived when we were planning to leave. But we'll be seeing them again. An unfortunate day it was for the beach though because I did not expect such a lovely sunny day to be such a terribly windy beach day. All the sand kept flying to us and getting stuck on our sunscreen-soaked skin. The water was cold at first but then the feeling fondled with my skin. I got water stuck in my ears and it hurt but after a while, the water didn't get to me as much. We then ate dinner and I called my mum that we were doing so in case she got angry at me for being gone the whole day. She didn't complain.

So yes, here's to me making up for the day... as I promised I would post some pictures of the things my mum bought me the other day.
Stripey black and white dress with random floral print.s It's cute and so is the cut back.
Not my colour, but it was my size so mum bought it for me. Also a cute back.
A few tops because I don't have any. I'm not a huge fan of the Rolling Stones but I'm quite proud to say that I own one of the infamous T-shirts.
Mum picked out the cute sailor skirt but in this picture it looks black and white when it's actually blue and white horizontal stripes. And the floral high waisted shorts are from Dotti and they may need some altering to do because they don't seem to be so waist-length. And the black skirt is for work because it's summer and stuff the black skinnies for hot weather.
So as soon as I finish my chores, I'm off to the Centre to get a haircut. I will also be back later to announce some ridiculous updates and maybe even a video of my hair!

P.s, sorry for the small thumb nailed pictures...That's all I can fit in during this time... Thank you!

Plead The Filth

I guess I'm back after such a long period of time living my life outside of this study room. I was starting to wonder exactly what had been happening to my blog and it didn't surprise me much that I hadn't really had any updates. That's a total downer for me. But anyways, I'm just going to blog about some recent things that have happened and things that will happen. These holidays have been such a blast [though there will be bored streaks from time to time] and I wish it could be much longer than I know it will be.

First of all, I've ben working, quite a lot actually. OH AND BY THE WAY...MERRY JESUS DAY TO EVERYONE IN THE WORLD WHO JOINED EACH OTHER WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO SHARE THE AMAZING GIFT THAT GOD HAS EVER GIVEN TO US ALL. And since this December period, Christmas shifts were so crazy, I even got to work a 7 and a half hour shift until 1am in the morning. All I ended up doing was blowing a few hundred balloons until we had to close up. The pay for sure is amazing but I wouldn't know because I haven't gotten paid yet! But I will find out tomorrow and then go shopping for a few more things even though it's much too late for boxing day sales...that's what I get for getting paid every fortnight.

I had an audition to the place that I would like to be attending next year to do a Music course. I had to book an audition/interview with JMC and I was allowed to bring someone to accompany me and I chose my dear friend Fonzi. He's so awesome for saying yes and helping me out. I bet that if it wasn't for him, I wouldn't of gotten a place for me at the Academy. And yes, the next thing I was about to say is that I got accepted! They want me! I was so surprised when my mum told me that I had received my pre-selection letter in the mail on Christmas Eve. I think it was the best present I got this year. Now all I need to do is wait until I get a letter from VTAC saying that I have been officially accepted into the place and then I can go on my orientation. I will be attending in March next year and I'm heaps excited for my future.

Speaking of future, I've been having talks with Inkarri and I think we have things planned for ourselves. As much as I love his spontaneity, planning ahead is always a good way to go if you want to be serious. Future is looking high and very convincing...
I went shopping today with my mum and ended up watching a movie with my cousins and her together. It was a nice day, shame I didn't spend it outside. Mother bought me quite a few pieces and one which I'm not too happy about because the button broke as soon as I put the garmet on for the first time. But I'll tell you all about that tomorrow when I post up my Mother's spendings.

Also, I'll be getting a haircut this week, hopefully not too short, but good enough so that the dead/shocked bits from my last terrible haircut can be all chopped off. I miss healthy hair and that's all I want at the moment so that I don't have to go to the beach thinking how damaged my hair feels even though there wouldn't be a difference from beach water and shower water.
And one more change I'll be doing to myself is getting a piercing. Yup! A piercing this Friday where my best friend Sim is going to film it and hopefully I could post up a video for you all on how that went. I will also be revealing then what I had done. Don't worry, it's nothing too rude but I'll gladly show you all. Mother thinks I'm getting a tattoo, but I had to clarify that I will be getting that another time so she's now heaps worried about my piercing. But she's the type of mum [if you can call it a type] who cares more of the value of what's inside a person's heart. She thinks that 'whatever you lack in looks, success, or intelligence. I will love you as long as your heart is set straight and your attitude is good'. Yeah, she loves me because I treat her like THE best mother in the world. You know, letting her live through pain during your teenage years...only kidding!
Well I'm off to bed and hopefully I can show you my new items that I will be keeping in my closet. Until then, Goodnighters!

Wishlist Time Already?

I would probably nom-nom-nomming if I had these things but no one really pays attention to anyones wishlist so I'm guessing that I'd probably be my own chris cringle and purchase I guess, a few of these things for myself this Christmas. Don't think of me for this selfish side of me. I do have plans for Christmas presents for close friends and family this year so I doubt that whatever I might make from working, I won't be saving up much. The only people I really need good presents for is Inkarri, my mum, my dad and Sim.

An Animal For Me

What a weird sort of fetish to have. I think animal prints are quite intriguing and I would put myself through great extremeties to have them. But I can't and only because of the fact that they don't always suit me, or maybe my use for them is worn incorrectly. It would almost be quite paramount for me to have a wardobe filled with many prints because mixing and matching doesn't seem to look so difficult to do. This summer I think it would be nice if I had a few of these.

1) Printed Cardigan by Alice Point 2) Printed Maxi by Disarming Darling 3) Chiffon Maxi Dress by Fashion Fillers 4) Leopard Print Romper by Fashion Vibe 5) Toy Fur Jacket by Sterling Style 6) High Waisted Shorts by Late Afternoon

The Best Til' Last

This week has been quite eventful and I'm happy to be sharing it with you today. Firstly, Monday and Tuesday had been THE most tormenting days of my life due to the fact that I was so scared of what I might get paid on the Wednesday following and if I would have enough money to spend for the formal. For those of you who may be foreign to the word 'formal' [which by the way I am mostly talking to American's or any other nationality with the same traditions], I would have to describe it to be be very much like a prom, only we don't wear deb/maids-of-honour type dresses. Well I guess that during the years, the scene for a formal has become more cocktail/disco[?] dresses. But I was very proud to see the girls at CSC looking beautiful and genuinely as pretty as I've ever seen them. Also in comparison to the prom, girls and boys don't ask eachother to go. We just all go together in our so called "clique" groups and it kind of saves us from the embarrassment of asking. And we have a course meal. Or at least our school had a course meal.

Wednesday, I woke up or arrived at the shopping centre a little too late for I hadn't exactly booked a hair appointment. Everything started going wrong when I realized the cheapest place to get my hair done had no places from me in time. I swear I tried to book over the phone but their number seemed rather disconnected. I finally found a place and I wasn't in the greatest mood so I apologize to the hairdressor who was styling my hair whilst I answered her questiones with my hormes slightly on a high. She did my hair and it was amazing. After that, I had to go and get my make-up done and Ink had to leave. That stressed me out heaps more because I had to walk all the way home from the bus stop. Once it was done, I hopped onto the bus and I almost started breaking down infront of these people who were staring at me because my face and hair was all done up. The wind became stressingly stronger and it started to rain. I felt their eyes gleaming at me, laughing aloud inside. It was embarrassing already. Though I remembered that my friend was at the shopping centre too and I decided to call her and ask for a lift home. Much to my relief, she was there, but already in the car and she ended up taking me right to my doorstep. If I had walked in the wind and rain that day, I vowed to never show up that night. I would take a shower, and weap away my feelings in my room. THE worst feeling ever!

God is good and I got home quite safe and still in tact. Though I had to reajust some things in my hair with hairspray but then I was ready.
Arrived at my friend's house and we took some pictures together. Most of the pictures I have aren't mine. They are all stolen from my friends facebooks. You can check out the rest of the pictures that I was tagged in here. Us as a group look hot together haha. I'm just saying. and I'm going to miss them all heaps. They are such a fun and welcoming bunch of people who don't know how to gossip because they end up talking about someone who is within listening distance from them. I love them all.

I'll recap this from my Facebook as "Who says that finishing school isn't sexy?"

Then after the formal, we arrived at Crown and I met my beautiful baby who had just turned 20 on the same day. He dressed up just for me [and because he didn't want to stand out from all the people from the formal who came with us]. We walked around the place for a bit and it was the first time I had walked into a casino. It was really trippy but I didn't spend any money that night.

Take Me Away

The weather has been so generous to us Melbournians for the past couple of days and today I finally get to enjoy it myself. It's good to get a dose of Vitamin D everyday or you'll probably be less bothered, like myself, to do anything around the house. The days have finally started to warm up and Summer being just the corner, is looking very promising this year. But I could always be speaking quite to soon as I do live in Melbourne, therefore the weatherman indeed is always wrong. Our weather here is so unpredictable as it changes from sunny to dark, from hot to cold, and from windy to rainy all experienced in one day.

This Summer, Ink and I are off the the second hand shops to check out pricing of second hand bikes which he has already preferenced to purchase himself a BMX. Reason being, he wants to be "Supa Gangsta" like N.E.R.D were in their music video 'Rockstar'. It's a good start to getting fit and healthy. I've tried cycling at home and it's not that bad if your doing it by yourself and watching TV and so I've kind of grown accustomed to the continuous movement of my legs whether it be slow for a long time or extremely fast for a very short time. But for these second hand bikes, I'm already prepared.

Though I would seriously consider buying myself a proper custom made vintage bike like the one I posted up the top there which I customized online from Papillionaire Australia. Cost of course is always the problem for me but I'll stay true and hopefully own one of them babies myself. Also, there is one thing that I would like to try with one of my close friends is rollerskating. Well for me it would be good because after watching "Whip It", directed by Drew Barry Moore, I've had a little itch to try it out. After all, I love coming home from a conert all bruised and battered from my feet to my elbows sowhy not give Roller Derby a try. It looks like heaps of fun trying to knock girls out, but imagine me, I'm so tiny.

The Vintage Taste

Today I was looking at the store directory to the Chadstone shopping centre to look for shops that I may be interested in to have a look at formal dresses. Chadstone has many big brands in it and I doubtedly looked around, checking prices for their garmets and with absolutely no luck, I found nothing that was within my price range. You know $100 or so because that's all I could afford at the moment. I found some pretty facsinating dresses that were about $700 so um I don't think I'll be purchasing something that I'd probably only ever wear once in my life.

Well anyways, as I wandered through the sites I found one site which did not sell formal clothes but nevertheless, I automatically fell in love with their Spring/Summer Collection. I'm a sucker for edited photos, especially when there's a hint of the retro blur that surrounds the edges. But other than that, what appealed to me the most were the creative designs by Alanah Hill. Her designs are hitting up summer with inspiration originating from the Vintage 40's style with plenty of floral, lace and fanciful colours. I don't really agree with wearing too much pink but I admire the bold use of girly pinks, reds and yellow shades.

Bewitched

Australian TV has decided to reintroduce the greatest classic shows on our GO! channel. The one that I have currently been watching the most is Bewitched, starring Elizabeth Montgomery. It's usually on every morning and on just when I get home from school. It's now probably up to Season Eight and I'm assuming it's the last one. I don't want to think about not having this show aired anymore because I just love how Montgomery portrays Samantha on the show. Watching it at least twice a day, I have seen her transformation since Season One and I must say that her hair is what changes the most. My mum shares the same love for this show and we watch it together when she gets home from work. She tells me that Elizabeth Montgomery was one of the world's most beautiful women in those days and heck I bet she was. She's absolutely gorgeous and her humour is just so comical.

What I love watching the most with my mum is looking at her wardrobe choice for the set in every Episode. She looks so darling and sweet. Not a very typical housemother as such were in those day, but then again I do believe that's the point as she's not exactly ordinary, hence herself being a witch.

I think this is when Ebay usually starts to appeal to me again so I can buy my mother and I box sets of each season. Every episode just excites us every time.

Spring To Summer

Summer's just around the corner and once again I feel the need to clean out my closet and replace all the old junk which will hopefully find new loving owners at our local opp-shop. I just want to fill my closet with lots of dresses this summer, a few pairs of denim shorts, floral shorts, hihg waisted shorts, socks and wedges. That's all I want. And a pair of new cute vintage sunnies with a brownish animal shade for the rims. Mmmm but I have to wait till my school formal is over and that I've saved up for NZ if I'm still going with Inkarri and his family. More shifts could help me seeing as though I get paid really well where I work but I only work once a week. I hope the new manager puts me on full time so $$$ can start flowing abundantly in my account. Then I'll be very happy to spend it on christmas presents, and lots of presents for myself too!

UO Goes Retro?

They are so cute! And I really want them, but don't really need them. I feel compulsed to puchase something for me like the Fisheyed Lomo Camera or something for Ink like the Vinyl Turnable for Inkarri.

Christmas wishlist maybe?
